24 hours to Rio

overcast 20 °C

From Foz, we took a bus to Rio De Janeiro.

Now my book states that it should take 22 hours and cost around $50 usd. How wrong it was was. the 24 hours i can forgive, but $50? its cost me 80 pounds! BIG DIFFERENCE!

so anyway, we hopped on the bus, with knots in our stomach , still in squitsville, but just hoping for the best.

The first 7 hours went by really quick, i had 2 seats to myself so was able to stretch out and enjoy the view. the countryside here is really pretty. Deep greens of the grass, trees etc, blue sky and the soil is a beautiful rich reddy brown colour that just contrasts perfectly with everything else. i very much enjoyed taking it all in.

then, the next 7 hours came and went and so on and so on. it really wasnçt all that bad, but still 24 hours on a bus is what it is, and i was shattered afterwards.

Once in Rio we got a taxi to our hotel and basically just collasped. the weather at the mo is not looking great, dry, but sloudy and i am very eager to get my picture taken by Christ the Redeemer on a sunny sunny day! Fingers crossed.
